As we haven’t blogged for a while we thought we would update you on our recent work.
This year has seen us creating curtains and blinds for all kinds of venues from the standard curtains in domestic interiors, to the more bespoke curtains with all types of paneling in domestic interiors, to curtains in night clubs, hotels, student accommodation not to mention our curtains in the stars dressing rooms at the Apollo in Manchester, which we found out someone (not naming the band lol) accidentally damaged so we had to replace them; but never mind because our work in out there for everyone to see Anyway watch this space for more pictures of our work which will be coming up here shortly If any of you has any questions then please feel free to drop us a line as we would love to hear from you.
We have been extreamly busy these past few months and have been working on so many projects we really didn’t know where to start in telling you about them all… Some of the ones that have stood out are our teenage girls bedroom…
Here we have created a three tier window treatment consisitng of a padded hard pelmet with floaty feathers along the bottom. The pelmet is made from a cotton velvet in a beautiful deep pink, the floaty feathers chosen for this are in a cream finish to complement the curtains. Fitted underneath the pelmet are the curtains and here we have used Harliquin Harris fabric called Tippy toes and along the bottom of the curtains we have used some of the cotton velvet to create a contrasting band. We have used the floaty feathers again in this seam (again in the cream finish) to create a real feature. Finally fitted in the recess of the window we have created a roman blind in the bright pink velvet fabric with a bonded blackout lining which is fitted on a chain operated cassette track…. I’m sure you will like this one as much as we do… it was so much fun to make and the finished result looks fantastic.
a three treatment window dressing comprising of a Roman blind on cassette track with paneled curtains with pinch pleat heading and a padded pelmet with floaty feathers along the top.
Hi All thought i would update you on one of our latest projects. We are currently working on a black crushed velvet design with Swarovski crystals. The design has a Roman blind fitted to the recess on a chain opereated track with a black nickle chain. To the bottom of the Roman blind there are 8 Swarovski crystal buttons going horizontaly. Fitted to the exterior of the window from a black gloss pole with chrome brackets and rings and faceted finials there will hang a pair of black curshed velvet curtains which will be pooled on the floor. The curtains will be fully inter-lined and lined using heavy weight sateen lining and have a pinch pleat heading. Below each pinch pleat there will be a Swarovski crystal button which will really shimmer in the light. The curtains will be finished off with a pair of Swarovski crystal tie backs which will have a black satin finish with clear Swarovski crystals around the neck. We are really looing forward to showing you pictures of this one as it’s going to really sparkle. Keep watching this space for the pics….
Hi All… once again we are featured in the Lancashire magazine… this time we are on page 120 so visit us there people for a look at the new fabrics…
Currently we are advertising in the Lancashire magazine for the October edition in the Home interiors editorial….
We have just taken on a new project where we are making from scratch three roman blinds… now there is nothing unusual about making three roman blinds you might say, but wait until you see the design…. There will be two Union jack roman blinds to the outer sides and in the centre there will be a dark blue roman blind with the slogin “Keep Calm and Have a Cup of Tea” appliqued onto the blue cotton fabric. The union jack roman blinds will be hand made each having around 36 panels of fabric. We are rather excited about this design as it’s one of our bespoke projects. When they are done we’ll post a picture on here for you all to see…
We have just fitted 2 Roman Blinds in a ladies bedroom in Style Cheshire. The Blinds were made from Laura Ashley fabric and where fitted on chain operated Roman blind tracks. The fabric was a cotton and linen mix with a printed vertical stripe pattern.
